F3F: Brett Gelman

The yellow stage has brought a a nice addition to FFF Fest by featuring comedy acts, one of which was Brett Gelman. He has the usual dry humor of 21st century comedians, but he puts a unique spin on his act by telling a story that comes to a full circle beginning and ending with his opening bit. He even added a sort of moral to his story that left everyone with the question of “Am I this typical person he is talking about?”.

He took his act on a journey through modern day technology that began with a made up Apple product that he called the iBrain. He used his sarcasm to really sell the story of how todays society relies so heavily on technology and not brain power. His took an outrageous turn when he began graphically painting a picture of a sexual encounter between Adam and Eve while incorporating his iBrain product. His act truly had the crowd laughing and thinking at the same time. Well, for those who actually understood the message he was trying to get across.
